ARM에서는 앞으로 약 4-5년간 출시될 MID와 Mobile Phone을 타겟으로한 새로운 CPU Core를 발표했음. ARM은 이걸로 4년동안 150억개의 Core가 판매될것이라고 기대하는듯 함. 특히 iPhone 3G와 iPhone 3GS에 각각 사용되어 더욱 비교가 되는 대상이다.. 외국 Teardown 사이트를 보면 486과 pentium으로 비교를 하고 있음. 정말 그렇게 차이가 많이 날까??? Core 자체만으로 보면 Pipeline Depth가 8stage에서 13stage로 증가됨을 알 수 있음. 더 확인하고 싶지만, Cortex A-8 TRM까지 보고싶지는 않음.... ^^; (언제 시간내서 TRM은 함 봐야할 듯) ▶ ARM11 ▶ Cortex A-8 ▶ Performance 비교 L2 Cache의 유무도 차이가 나지만 그래도 어느정도 성능 차이가 남을 보이고 있다. 그렇다면 아직 국내는 ARM11을 사용하고 있는데, iphone 3GS가 나와야 하거나 아님, 스마트폰은 내년까지 ..
